What happened to the days where parents actually took responsibility, and raised their children? Why would somebody neglect their duties as a guardian?
"Parents oftentimes don't realize the games have ratings. And they don't know what the ratings mean," she said.
Hmm... that would be a valid argument, if the rating icons weren't printed on the front cover, back cover, and instruction manual of every new videogame that is released. As for why the games deserve a particular rating, a synopsis of the gameplay elements can be found accompanying the rating on the back panel. Christ, the games even have a link for more information!
Eminent Domain. That truly pisses me off. Plus, the Supreme Court ruling that it is legal for the government to hand property over to private companies is just another stripping of freedom that I find irksome. At least we have some people striking back. Feels nice to know that there are people out there who want to kick and scream when liberty is taken away.
Resignation to a two-party system. I hate that. I loathe how engrained the falsehood of Red/Blue is in the minds of the 'average' voter. I don't even know who to blame for this outrage, anymore. I don't know whether it is the Educational System's fault, the NewsMedia, or just a complete apathy of the citizenry. The Republicans are slowly pushing for a Monarchy, and the Democrats a Communist society. I would provide examples to support that statement, but I'm too lazy to research for them. Oh, well. Another time, maybe.
Until then, though, I'll just be writing my stories. Goodnight, everyone, and be safe in Internet Land.
