19:05 Shopper's does not have cookie cutters. #

19:22 Giant doesn't, either. Looks like I am headed to Target. #

19:33 Apparently Target is an entrance to a mall. Adventure! #

19:40 Mall does not have cookie cutters. Resuming search of Target. #

19:50 Found empty peg labeled 'cookie cutte'. Aborting mission. #

Goodnight everybody, and stay safe out there.
  • You could do the old-fashioned thing: cut a piece of cardboard in the shape you want, and use a knife to cut around the individual cookies. It takes longer but it works.
  • Or use small glasses, if you're just trying for round cookies.
    • I ended up forming them by hand. The shortbread dough I was using was incredibly similar to tortilla dough in texture, so it wasn't terribly hard.
  • Yeah, but that doesn't let me go on an adventure. Fun fact! The Target I went to is right across the street from the Giant. It took me eleven minutes to cross the street. In a car. Because somehow, I got lost.
    • Hahah, that really was a fun fact! :) You're adventure sounds fun, even if you didn't get what you were looking for... and you still succeeded with shaping the dough. Fun adventure + dough success = double win!
      • Ah! I forgot that you only have half the story!
As it turns out, the cookies were also delicious. So, Triple Win! It was the trifecta of awesome, for serious. I also sat and did the math to discover that each cookie contains a tablespoon of butter. I'm noticing that all of my recipes have at least one item that is horrendously high in fat. It is awesome. Maybe I'm trying to fatten myself up subconsciously, because I don't trust skinny cooks.
